Can I have flowers delivered to a patient at Franklin Regional?

Mail and flowers will be delivered to the patient's room. Any mail received after the patient is discharged will be forwarded to the address noted in your admission papers.

Can I use my cell phone at the hospital?

Call phones may be used at Franklin Regional Medical Center. However, in certain areas you may be asked to turn your phone off so that is does not interfere with patient care. We ask that users be mindful of other patients and their families.

Is internet access available at Franklin Regional?

Yes. Patients, visitors and doctors at Franklin Regional have access to free Wi-Fi/wireless high-speed Internet while visiting the hospital. By offering Wi-Fi accessibility, patients and their loved ones can keep up with family or work via the Internet. Connectivity is available throughout the hospital including patient rooms and visitor waiting areas. Franklin Regional's free Internet connection works with any Wi-Fi enabled device such as a laptop computer, Pocket PC or web-enabled call phone. We also provide two computers in the Admissions/Out-Patient waiting area for patients, family members and visitors.

Is there a gift shop at Franklin Regional?

Yes, there is a Gift Shop run by the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary volunteers called the "Bird Cage". It is located at the front entrance of the hospital near the elevator. A wide variety of gifts, candy, cards, snacks, crafts, and personal care items are available. Hours are as follows: Monday - Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm.

What is available in the cafeteria?

Hospital visitors may dine in the cafeteria located on the first floor past the gift shop and main elevator. We offer a full breakfast, hot meal selections, full short order menu, sandwich bar, and salad bar. The cafeteria is open to the public as well as to hospital staff during the following hours. Breakfast - 7:00am-8:30am; Lunch - 11:30am-1:30pm; Supper - 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Where do I enter the hospital?

Visitors are asked to enter the facility through the front entrance off of Main Street and Hospital Drive. Please sign in at the front desk and get a visitor badge.

Can I stay overnight at the hospital with a loved one?

Under special circumstances, a patient may benefit from having a family member or friend stay overnight. The nursing staff will make the necessary arrangements. A parent of a pediatric patient is encouraged to stay with the child during his/her hospitalization.

Where can I park?

Patient parking is located off N. Bickett Boulevard. Overflow parking can be found in the parking lot near the Visitors Entrance on Hospital Drive. Visitor parking is located by the Visitors Entrance of the hospital, off of Main Street and Hospital Drive.

What time are visiting hours?

General hospital visiting hours are from 8:30a.m. to 8:30p.m. Visitors are required to get a visitor's pass from the front desk. The Intensive Care Unit has special visiting hours. Visitors are generally restricted to immediate family. Because of the intensity of care given in this area, 15 minutes visits are recommended in the following time allotments: 11:00-11:30am, 2:00-2:30pm, 5:00-5:30pm, and 8:00-8:30pm
