Billing Practices
Your bill for service at Franklin Regional Medical Center will be mailed to your insurance carrier 7 to 10 days after your discharge from the hospital. An itemized statement of your charges may be obtained upon request. You will receive a separate bill for services of your Physician and any other Specialty Physicians (Anesthesiologist, Radiologist, etc.) used. Financial Assistance for the Uninsured
Franklin Regional Medical Center is part of Novant Health, a not-for-profit organization providing medical care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
At Franklin Regional Medical Center, we are committed to providing outstanding health care to all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay. Below is an outline of our financial assistance and charity care programs:
- Franklin Regional Medical Center provides free care to uninsured patients with incomes of up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, with 100% write-off.
- Uninsured patients with income over 300% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for a self-pay discount.
- Any patient (even with health insurance) with a balance over $5,000 and income over 300% of the Federal Poverty Level is eligible for a catastrophic discount.
- Any patient is eligible for an individualized payment plan based on the amount due and the patient's financial status, with terms extending up to five years. No interest charged, unless appropriate.
