General Visitor Guidelines

At Franklin Regional Medical Center, the healthcare needs and comfort of our patients come first, and we ask for the understanding and cooperation of all visitors in meeting those needs.

  • Visitors should enter and leave the hospital as quickly and as quietly as possible.

  • Visits should be short, comforting and reassuring to the patient.
  • Visiting hours are between 8:30am and 8:30pm daily, except in specialty areas.
  • Please limit the number of visitors to two per patient at any time.
  • Children may not be left unattended in the waiting rooms.
  • Many patients have very low resistance to common infections.  Visitors with cold symptoms (sneeze, cough, etc.) are asked to avoid visiting.
  • At times it may be necessary to restrict visitors for a particular patient.  A "Precaution" sign will be posted on the patient's door.  If you have any questions about these precautions, please ask the nurse before you enter the room.
  • Patients can receive telephone calls between 8:00am and 9:00pm daily.  The main number is (919) 496-5131.  Calls after 9:00pm or prior to 8:00am will not be forwarded to patient's rooms.
  • All calls will be transferred to the Nurse's Station.  It will be determined by the nurse if the call may be transferred to the patient.
