The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is located on the second floor and is
designed to care for patients needing close monitoring, but not
intensive care. Patients who may require monitoring or require a
specific level of care are appropriate for the Progressive Care Unit. Many of our post-operative care patients are placed on the PCU,
including; Spine Surgeries, Orthopedic Surgeries(replacement of
joints), Bariatric Surgeries, some General Surgeries and Gynecology
Surgeries. This unit is also called the telemetry unit, which allows
patients needing cardiac/heart monitoring the ability to be monitored
and mobile within a specific distance of the unit.
